CSA Info
The team at Garden Destination invites you to join our farm and connect with the land and the people who grow your food. As we enter our 9th season of growing vegetables and herbs and second season as Certified Organic, we are excited to extend this CSA opportunity to our neighbors and friends our local communities.
Benefits of CSA Membership:
When you become a member of Garden Destinations’ CSA you will receive a weekly share of fresh, certified organically grown, in-season produce, a weekly newsletter, recipes, opportunities to participate in Learn and Grow workshops and invitations to Garden Destination farm events.
Each week members receive a diverse mix of our fresh, in-season produce. We strive to provide a variety of high-quality produce every week although the variety and quantity of weekly shares will vary as the season progresses and depends ultimately on nature’s conditions. We will offer approximately 20 weeks of produce, from June through October.
Most of our vegetables are harvested only hours before they are packed up for you, so you are receiving produce that a few hours earlier was growing right in our gardens. A fresher product provides more nutrition. We are a local farm so you will be eating produce that is grown within several miles of your own home.
All members receive our weekly newsletter “What’s In My Box” which details the week’s produce, storage tips, recipes, farm stories and more!
Our Learn & Grow Farm workshops through Garden Destination Organic Learning Center are also available to our members and are offered monthly throughout the growing season. Learn & Grow Farm workshops are hands-on and interactive, with most topics focused on teaching you how to grow the same healthy & organic foods in a sustainable manner. Workshops will begin at the start of the growing season and a list of specific workshops will be posted on our website.
Your membership helps us pay for seeds, water, equipment maintenance, labor, and supplies. Becoming a CSA member fosters responsible relationships between the food you eat, the land on which it is grown and those who grow it.
Thank you for your interest in our CSA program! One of the most rewarding and satisfying aspects of farming is getting to know the people who eat the wonderful food we grow. We look forward to meeting and working with you during our 2013 season.
Best wishes for a healthy and bountiful year,
Donna & Rick Wilterdink
